Abstract

This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP-based internets. In particular, it defines objects for managing networks using PPP over Ethernet Protocol.
INTERNET DRAFT July 1999

This memo specifies a MIB module in a manner that is both compliant to the SNMPv2 SMI, and semantically identical to the peer SNMPv1 definitions.

1.0 Introduction

PPPoE [1] defines a mechanism for transporting PPP over Ethernet. This draft specifies the objects for managing devices that use PPPoE.

2.0 Conventions

The following language conventions are used in the items of specification in this document:

o MUST, SHALL, or MANDATORY -- This item is an
        absolute requirement of the specification.
